Andrew founded Virtus in 2013 on a clear conviction: clients deserve advisors who possess a deep understanding of their industries, meaningful insight into their businesses, and an unwavering commitment to their objectives. That idea became the foundation of the firm’s industry-specialized model. As Chief Executive Officer, Andrew sets Virtus’ strategic vision and oversees its execution. Under his leadership, Virtus has grown into one of the nation’s Top 100 insurance brokerages and has been recognized as a Best Place to Work.

Andrew has more than two decades of experience in property and casualty insurance, advising clients on complex risk management and risk financing. He works particularly with family offices, private equity firms, and real estate organizations, building a thorough understanding of each client’s priorities so their leaders can make informed, strategic decisions. He is equally committed to building an enduring firm, investing in talent through mentorship, coaching, and leadership opportunities.

Before founding Virtus, Andrew held positions at Lockton and Holmes Murphy, where he built the foundation of his insurance and advisory experience.

Matt is President of Virtus, where he leads the firm’s growth strategy, expands its industry specialty capabilities across the United States, and oversees expansion in Texas and other key regions. He has more than 15 years of experience in insurance brokerages, with a track record of building specialized practices, developing high-performing teams, and advising clients on complex risk.

Throughout his career, Matt has focused on growth: recruiting and developing talent, entering new markets, and creating an environment where producers and service teams do their best work. At Virtus, he concentrates on three priorities: deep industry specialization, modern technology that improves the client experience, and a platform that lets producers stay on offense by bringing clients practical solutions rather than working around bureaucracy. Having worked at both global brokers and a technology-driven firm, he has a clear view of what clients and colleagues need from a modern broker.

Before joining Virtus in 2026, Matt held several executive leadership roles at Newfront, helping drive its growth through its acquisition by Willis Towers Watson (WTW). Earlier, he was a managing director at Marsh, leading growth and development for industry-focused advisory teams across the central United States. He began his career at WTW, ultimately overseeing its Project Solutions Practice for North America. Risk & Insurance named him a Power Broker in 2021. Matt is based in Dallas–Fort Worth and has served on several nonprofit boards in his community.

David is Chief Financial Officer at Virtus, where he oversees Finance & Accounting and People & Talent. He joined the firm in 2025 and brings more than a decade of experience in financial leadership, strategic transactions, and professional services, with a track record of supporting growth-oriented businesses through transformation and value creation.

Before joining Virtus, David spent six years as Vice President of Finance at Ethos Pet Brands, the L Catterton–backed parent company of the Natural Balance and Canidae pet food brands. There he led internal financial due diligence and integration for the 2023 merger of Canidae and Natural Balance, helping position the combined company for growth.

David began his career in investment banking at Houlihan Lokey, advising consumer products and manufacturing companies on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic transactions.

Erik is a partner at Virtus and leads the firm’s Retail & Distribution Practice, advising companies on risk management, growth strategy, and insurance solutions built for the challenges facing retailers, distributors, and consumer-facing businesses. He has also helped lead the firm’s growth initiatives and specialty programs. Since entering the insurance industry in 2015, he has been named Producer of the Year multiple times.

Erik’s two decades of building businesses give him a practical perspective that resonates with founders and operators. He owned a Cold Stone Creamery franchise that was the top-performing location in Colorado for five consecutive years, and founded Uptown Liquors, which served Fort Collins for nearly two decades. As regional manager for Solvi Brands, part of beverage entrepreneur Sidney Frank’s portfolio, he led distribution and marketing for CRUNK!!! Energy Drink across 14 Midwestern states. From 2009 he led development for Colorado State University’s College of Business, helping fund initiatives including the expansion of Rockwell Hall.

A four-year starter and Freshman All-American at Colorado State, Erik was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2000 and played two seasons as a safety. He co-founded the Green & Gold Foundation, which has contributed more than $1 million to university initiatives, and is a member of the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame.

Adam is Senior Vice President, Operations at Virtus, where he leads Platform & Intelligence, the group that brings together the firm’s technology, systems, and process teams. He brings an insurance practitioner’s view to technology, choosing and building tools around the problems clients face. Adam also oversees Marketing and Client Success.

Adam designed the Virtus Arc, the framework that defines how the firm serves clients from first conversation through long-term stewardship and then built the technology to deliver on it. He led the firm-wide rollout of Outmarket AI, an insurance-specific platform for policy review and coverage analysis and built a suite of in-house tools that automate the analysis and reporting behind client deliverables. Together, these tools return hundreds of hours to each employee every year.

Adam began his career in 2007 in risk and data analytics at Trustmark, then advised employers and led high-performing teams at Lockton and HUB International. Since joining Virtus in 2017, he has built the Employee Benefits practice from the ground up into one of the firm’s three core lines of business, and has gone on to lead operations, client success, marketing, and technology firm-wide.

Tara is Managing Director of Growth Ventures at Virtus and a member of the Corporate Leadership Team. She leads the development and incubation of new producers, specialized industry verticals, and strategic growth initiatives, building the strategies, operating frameworks, and market infrastructure that turn emerging opportunities into long-term revenue platforms.

Tara’s work focuses on disciplined growth strategies, carrier and market alignment, repeatable producer operating systems, and giving new business platforms the structure and resources to scale. She brings more than 17 years of insurance experience, including designing and managing complex commercial insurance programs, advising clients on risk and coverage strategy, and leading carrier negotiations. She is known for translating complex opportunities into clear, executable plans and for developing high-performing talent.

Before leading Growth Ventures, Tara served as Chief of Staff to the CEO, working across enterprise strategy, operations, technology, talent, and executive initiatives. She also led the evaluation and implementation of Applied Epic, a firm-wide technology transformation that supports Virtus’ multi-office growth. She began her career at Zurich and spent eight years at Lockton, advancing through client service and account management leadership roles.

Jeremy is Chief Revenue Officer at Virtus, where he leads client development and revenue operations. He has more than two decades of experience designing and executing go-to-market strategies and building high-performing teams across enterprise and middle-market organizations.

Jeremy guides cross-functional teams through complex revenue transformations, aligning sales, client success, product, and marketing to maximize client lifetime value and accelerate growth. His approach draws on client relationship management, revenue enablement, global account strategy, and enterprise expansion. He has long served as an advisor to C-suite executives, particularly treasury, procurement, and finance leaders at Fortune 1000 companies.

Before joining Virtus, Jeremy spent more than ten years at C2FO leading sales and operations teams and managing strategic global relationships with companies including Amazon, Walmart, Costco, ExxonMobil, Chevron, and Intel. Earlier, at Sprint Nextel (now T-Mobile), he held roles spanning business development, finance, marketing, and analytics, and helped launch Sprint Velocity, a connected-vehicle initiative with Chrysler and other automakers. He is a founding board member of YEP KC, which mentors young entrepreneurs, and volunteers with the Olathe Dads program supporting students across the district.
